We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and motivated Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences to join a growing Department of Life Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic to contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and academic leadership within a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Sciences, while also developing an internationally recognised research profile.
Deliver engaging and innovative teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules
Lead and contribute to curriculum development and programme leadership
Supervise undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students
Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals
Secure external research funding and contribute to REF outputs
Undertake academic leadership roles (e.g. module leader, programme director)
Participate in departmental administration and wider institutional activities
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates:
A PhD in Biomedical Sciences or closely related discipline
A strong track record of research publications and emerging international reputation
Experience of teaching in Higher Education
Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or willingness to obtain
Evidence of successful grant applications (desirable)
Experience supervising postgraduate students (desirable)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
